Prevention of Teenage Suicide-Guyana is a non-profit/non- governmental organization. Prevention of Teenage Suicide-Guyana's aim is to reduce the prevalence of suicide in Guyana through greater access to information, resources and support. Our purpose is to address, educate, coordinate, and provide materials to eradicate suicide and attempted suicide on a local and global level. We provide education by giving free lectures and suicide awareness training in schools,communities, and other public venues as well as utilizing social media channels to provide facts, statistics, and other related data on causes, current efforts and solutions to eradicating suicide and attempted suicide. Our programs include sending out Operation Advisors to raise social consciousness about the cause, and to hold fundraising events in order to provide information and assistance to those suffering from depression and mental health illnesses regardless of their race, ethnicity, or religion. To maximize our impact on current efforts, we collaborate with other non-profit organizations, the private sector and Government agencies.
